Earlier this year, AriseVida Care reached an important milestone in our work to make treatment easier to navigate: in January 2026, we began accepting Banner – University Family Care and Banner Medicare Advantage. Looking back on that step, we want to explain what it means for members considering care at our Phoenix location.

Insurance questions often arrive at a difficult moment. Someone may be considering treatment for the first time, returning after a setback, or helping a loved one find support. A clear conversation about benefits can help make the next step more manageable.

What this milestone means

Joining an insurance network gives members another provider to consider when exploring care. For AriseVida Care, the January milestone reflects our continuing effort to connect people with outpatient addiction and behavioral health treatment.

The name on an insurance card is only the starting point. Banner – University Family Care and Banner Medicare Advantage are distinct coverage arrangements, and individual products have their own networks and benefits. A provider’s participation does not mean every service is covered for every member.

That is why we encourage members to verify their specific plan before making decisions about treatment. If you are unsure which Banner product you have, our team can start with the information on your card.

Questions worth asking before care begins

You deserve an explanation that connects your benefits to the care you are seeking. When you speak with our admissions team or your plan, these questions can help:

  • Is AriseVida Care in network for my exact plan and the service I need?
  • Are my benefits active for the expected dates of care?
  • Does the service require a referral or prior authorization?
  • What deductible, copayment, coinsurance, or other member responsibility might apply?
  • If my treatment needs change, will my benefits need to be reviewed again?

These questions are useful even if you have used your insurance for treatment elsewhere. A previous approval or another provider’s network status does not establish coverage for a new course of care.

Preparing for a benefits conversation

Have your insurance card available if possible, along with the name of the service you are considering. You can also explain your needs in everyday language; you do not need to know the correct program name before reaching out.

If you are helping someone else, ask how they can participate in the conversation and what information the team needs to assist. Write down any outstanding questions so you know what still needs to be confirmed before an appointment.

Take the next step with clearer information

Our January milestone is part of a broader commitment to helping people understand their options. Members can use our insurance verification page or contact AriseVida Care to discuss coverage and possible next steps.

Benefits depend on the specific plan, eligibility, service, and applicable requirements. Verification does not guarantee authorization, coverage, or payment, but it can help identify the questions that need answers before care begins.
